Peps6, the synthetic peptide derived from ApoH

Apolipoprotein H (ApoH) is a blood-borne human protein and is therefore considered as a potentially infectious product. To overcome possible exportation issues and to guarantee biological safe handling, ApoH-Technologies chooses to propose an all-synthetic version of the ApoH protein.

Extensive research on the micro-organism binding domains of this protein has lead the R&D team to select a completely synthetic peptide able to hold all the binding capabilities of the natural protein. Validation tests of this peptide show an excellent binding capacity on a large panel of micro-organisms, of similar efficacy than that of the native ApoH protein.

This peptide called «Peps6» is coupled to magnetic beads. The kits sold by ApoH-Technologies are now available with either the native protein or the synthetic peptide.
