Introduction
SOX2 is a transcription factor that forms a trimeric complex with OCT4 on DNA and controls the expression of a number of genes involved in embryonic development such as YES1, FGF4, UTF1 and ZFP206. SOX4 is important for early embryogenesis and for embryonic stem cell pluripotency.
Description
SOX2 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated, Polypeptide chain containing 317 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 34.3kDa.
The SOX2 is fused to a C-terminal poly-arginine tag and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
The SOX2 solution (0.15mg/ml) contains 20mM PBS.
Stability
SOX2 Human Recombinant although stable at 4°C for 1 week, should be stored below -18°C.

Greater than 95.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by SEC-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Amino acid sequence
The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Trp-Asn-Met-Met.
