Introduction
RAB23 belongs to the Rab family of proteins and is restricted to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane. RAB23 takes part in intracellular protein transportation and signal transduction facilitated by small GTPases. RAB23 is a vital negative regulator of the Sonic hedgehog signaling pathway. Alterations in the gene encoding RAB23 are the origin for Carpenter syndrome a disorder which can cause obesity, cardiac defects, polysyndactyly and craniosesynostosis.
Description
RAB23 Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 254 amino acids (1-234) and having a molecular mass of 28.5 kDa.
RAB23 is fused to a 20 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
The RAB23 solution (0.5mg/1ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 1mM DTT, 0.1mM PMSF and 30% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
