Introduction
NADH Dehydrogenase Fe-S Protein 6 (NDUFS6) is a subunit of the NADH: ubiquinone oxidoreductase (complex I), which is the 1st enzyme complex in the electron transport chain of the mitochondria. This complex operates in the transfer of electrons from NADH to the respiratory chain. NDUFS6 is one of seven subunits in the iron-sulfur protein segment. DNA alterations in NDUFS6 are the cause for mitochondrial complex I deficiency, a disease which results in an extensive assortment of clinical disorders, like *****-onset neurodegenerative disorders and neonatal disease.

Formulation
The NDUFS6 solution (0.25mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 1mM DTT and 30% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
