Introduction
FAM84A is a member of the FAM84 family of proteins and is primarily expressed in testis. FAM84A is restricted to a subcellular membrane region in which there is no interaction between adjoining cells and takes part in cell morphology. Additionally, FAM84A expression increases cell motility which can result in invasion and metastasis of cancer cells. FAM84A is up-regulated in pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer lung cancer, bladder cancer tissues and cholangiocarcinoma.
Description
FAM84A Human Recombinant produced in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 315 amino acids (1-292) and having a molecular mass of 34.9kDa.
FAM84A is fused to a 23 amino acid His-tag at N-terminus & purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Formulation
The FAM84A solution (1mg/ml) contains 20mM Tris-HCl buffer (pH 8.0), 0.15M NaCl, 1mM DTT and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks.
Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time.
For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 90% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
