Description	abm’s D-22 Insect Medium for insect cell culture is formulated with inorganic anions, Kreb’s cycle intermediates, yeast extract, and vitamins for optimal growth and maintenance of primary and established cells derived from Drosophilia (such as the Kc cell line). This medium composition imitates Drosophila 3rd instar larvae body fluid conditions. D-22 Insect Medium is offered as a basal, serum and antibiotic-free formula to provide the end user flexibility of further supplement and serum addition if required. It is recommended to supplement with 5-20% fetal bovine serum (TM999-500) for cell lines derived from D. melanogaster.
