Description
The ViPrimePLUS Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome RT-qPCR Kit is a Taqman probe-based real-time PCR assay for the detection of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome genome in clinical samples (e.g. nasopharyngeal aspirate, throat swab and sputum).
Coronavirus family represents a large collection of viruses. These single-stranded RNA viruses are divided into groups and subgroups based on their genomic make-up. The human health-concerned coronaviruses include the group 1b Human Coronavirus NL63 and 229E, group 2a Human Coronavirus OC43 and Coronavirus HKU1 and group 2b SARS virus. The infections will result in respiratory illnesses such as common cold, SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and gastrointestinal diseases.
